Maternity Ward Outreach 2021

WEBS Ministries carried out a maternity ward outreach across several states in Nigeria between the 10th -29th December 2021 in Ekpan General Hospital, Warri, Delta State, Central Maternity, Nigerian Airforce (NAF) Medical Center, Kano State, and Island Maternity, Lagos Island, Lagos State and Maitama General Hospital, Abuja FCT. The maternity ward at the above-listed hospitals across Nigeria sees several women pass through its doors daily. Many come from extreme poverty and difficult circumstances. Usually, they leave the hospital with nothing for their babies or even the ability to pay their hospital bills.

With tremendous help from our members, family, friends, and private organizations, we put together beautifully made up “Maternity Packs” for mothers in need at the hospitals. Across the states, states coordinators carried out prayers with new mothers, exhortation, counselling where necessary, and distribution of Maternity Packs. 40 maternity were distributed to the new mothers containing Nappies, Wet wipes, Baby cosmetics, Baby clothes, shoes, accessories, sanitary towels, tissue papers, and pegs.

We also distributed other donated items like Blankets and Baby clothes to other mothers who could not get a pack with the help of a generous donor Mary Center. Mary Center is located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA. It is a Charity Organization that supports women and children with welfare services, referrals, clothes, and counselling.

Testimony

A lady was in labor for 3 days and had been in the Ekpan General Hospital, Warri. As we prayed during the outreach, her mother prayed with us. Her prayers were answered, and the daughter, who had been in labor pain for 3days, gave birth.
